How to Wash Hair Properly

1. Wet the hair thoroughly first. Shampoo on half-wet hair does not spread and does not lather.
2. Put the shampoo on the scalp, not on the length. The scalp is where the oil and dirt are; the ends get cleaned by the suds running down and that is enough.
3. Massage with the pads of the fingers, never the nails, for a minute or so.
4. Rinse until the water runs completely clear. Under-rinsing leaves residue that dulls hair and irritates the scalp.
