Baby food covers infant cereals, oats, purees and homemade-style baby foods for the weaning years — imported and local, with the age range stated on every listing.

Starting Solids
The general guidance is around six months, alongside continued breastfeeding or formula — but this is a conversation for your paediatrician, who knows your baby. The signs usually looked for are sitting with support, good head control, and genuine interest in food rather than just in watching you eat.

Start with a single-grain cereal, thin, once a day. Thicken it and increase gradually.
One new food at a time, three to five days apart. This is how you spot an allergy — if everything is new at once, you cannot tell what caused a reaction.
Expect refusal. A baby may need to meet a new food eight or ten times before accepting it. That is normal, not a verdict.
No added salt or sugar before one year. A baby’s kidneys cannot handle salt, and sugar sets a preference that lasts.
No honey before twelve months — infant botulism is rare and serious.
No cow’s milk as a main drink before one year, though it can be used in cooking.

Preparing and Storing It Safely

Wash your hands, and sterilise bowls and spoons for younger babies.
Mix cereal with water or milk at the temperature the pack states, and always test it on the inside of your wrist before feeding.
Never feed straight from the jar or bowl you will store. Saliva on the spoon introduces bacteria into the whole portion. Take out what you need.
Throw away leftovers from a feed. Do not reheat a portion the baby has eaten from.
Note the “use within” period after opening — for most infant cereals that is three to four weeks. Write the opening date on the tin.
Keep opened packs airtight; humidity here turns cereal powder solid.

Genuine Products
Much of this catalogue is imported, and imported shelves are where fakes and repacks appear. Whoever you buy from, these are worth checking:

The seal. An intact shrink wrap or safety ring is what tells you a product has not been opened.
The batch number and expiry printed on the pack itself, not on a sticker over it. A sticker covering the original printing is the commonest sign of a repack.
A price far below everyone else’s is information — sometimes a genuine clearance, often a fake or something close to expiry.

If what arrives does not match its listing, tell us. We would rather take a return than leave a wrong description standing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which cereal should I start with?
A single-grain cereal — rice or oat — rather than a mixed one, so that if there is a reaction you know what caused it. Move to multi-grain and fruit varieties once a few singles are established.
My baby refuses the food. What do I do?
Offer it again another day, without pressure. Repeated calm exposure is what works; forcing, bribing or turning it into a battle reliably backfires. If your baby is refusing all food, losing weight or unwell, see a doctor.
How do I check the product is fresh?
Check the seal and the expiry printed on the tin or pack itself, not on a sticker over it. The foil under the lid should be intact, and the powder should be loose and free-flowing — lumps mean moisture has got in.
How much shelf life will it have?
We stock to arrive well within date and do not knowingly ship anything close to expiry. If you need a specific minimum for a particular order, ask before placing it and we will check the batch.
How long does delivery take?
Inside Dhaka, usually one to three working days. Outside Dhaka, generally two to five, depending on the courier and your location. We contact you to confirm the order before it is dispatched.
