Homemade Baby Cereal Stage-3 (250gm) for 24 Months to 5 Years
400.00৳
A locally made stage 3 baby cereal in a 250gm pack, blended for children from 24 months to about 5 years.
Contains mixed nuts. Read the allergy note before you buy, and see the honest section on what a cereal like this can and cannot do.
Product Overview
This is a locally prepared stage 3 cereal mix, 250gm, aimed at children from two years old upward. The maker sells it as a graded range — stage 1 for 6-12 months, stage 2 for 12-24 months, and this stage 3 for 24 months and up — with the blend adjusted for each age.
It is a home-style mix of grains, pulses, nuts and dried fruit ground into a powder and cooked into a porridge with milk or water. Nothing exotic: it is the kind of mix families in Bangladesh have made at home for a long time, prepared in bulk.
Contains Nuts – Read This First
Mixes of this kind are built on nuts — typically cashew, almond, pistachio, peanut and walnut, along with dates and mixed grains and pulses. Ask the seller for the exact list before you buy.
- Do not give it to a child with a nut allergy, and do not serve it to another family’s child without telling them what is in it.
- If your child has never eaten nuts, introduce them separately and in small amounts first.
- Ground into a powder and cooked, it is not a choking risk in the way whole nuts are — but check the cooked porridge is smooth.
What It Is Honestly For
A cereal like this is a convenient, energy-dense meal for a toddler — grains and pulses for carbohydrate and plant protein, nuts for fat and minerals, in a form a busy household can make in five minutes. That is a genuinely useful thing.
What it is not is a treatment. The seller’s description tells parents that if their child is losing weight, refusing food, sleeping badly, crying easily or falling behind other children, the cause is a nutrition gap that this cereal will fill.
Please do not read it that way. A child who is not gaining weight, not growing as expected or falling behind developmentally needs a doctor, not a cereal packet. Those signs can point to problems that food alone will not fix, and time spent trying a supplement instead of getting the child seen is time lost. Feed this because it is a decent toddler breakfast. If you are worried about your child, go and get them checked.
Buying for a Younger Child? Read This
The maker sells this as a graded range, and it is easy to land on the wrong pack. This is stage 3, for 24 months and up. Stage 1 is 6-12 months and stage 2 is 12-24 months.
Before You Start Solids
Breast milk is the best food for a baby, and for the first six months it is the only food a baby needs. WHO and Bangladesh’s national infant-feeding guidance both recommend exclusive breastfeeding for six months, then breastfeeding alongside solid food up to two years and beyond.
Complementary food is an addition to milk at around six months, not a replacement for it. Starting solids does not mean stopping breastfeeding.
If your baby is under six months, or was born early, or is not gaining weight as expected, talk to a doctor or a health worker before starting any solid food. They can look at your baby; a packet cannot.
This Is Not a Milk Replacement
An infant cereal is a complementary food. It is fed in addition to breast milk or formula, in small amounts, once or twice a day to begin with. Milk stays the main source of nutrition for the whole of the first year.
Filling a baby up on cereal so they take less milk is a common and serious mistake. If your baby is drinking noticeably less milk after starting solids, cut the solids back and speak to a health worker.

- Stage 3 blend, for children from 24 months to around 5 years
- Grains, pulses, nuts and dried fruit, ground to a powder

How to Prepare It
- Wash your hands; use a clean pan, bowl and spoon.
- Take about two cups of milk or water to two or three spoons of the mix — adjust for how thick your child likes it.
- Mix smooth before heating, so it does not go lumpy.
- Cook on a low heat, stirring, until it thickens and the raw taste has gone.
- Cool it and test the temperature before serving.
- Serve fresh; do not keep a part-eaten bowl.
Hygiene Matters More Than the Brand
Most feeding-related illness in small children comes from the bowl, the spoon, the water and the hands — not from the food itself. Clean hands, clean utensils, safe water and food eaten fresh do more for your baby than any ingredient list.
Never feed prepared cereal that has been standing at room temperature for more than two hours, and never reheat a bowl your baby has already eaten from.
Storage
- Store the pack somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate the dry powder — moisture ruins it.
- Close it tightly after every use, or move it into a clean airtight container.
- Use a dry spoon every time. One damp spoon turns the whole tin lumpy.
- Once opened, most infant cereals are meant to be finished within two to four weeks — check the pack, and do not keep an opened pack to the printed expiry date.
- If the powder smells off, looks discoloured or has hardened, throw it away.
Frequently Asked Questions
My child is 18 months. Should I buy this stage?
No — stage 2 is the one for 12-24 months. The stages differ in what is in them and how coarse the grind is. Ask us and we will tell you which stages we hold.
What exactly is in it?
It is a home-style mix and the exact recipe is the maker’s. Message us before ordering if you need the full ingredient list, especially for allergies — do not assume.
Can it replace a meal?
It works as a breakfast or an evening meal for a toddler alongside ordinary family food. A child of this age should be eating a varied diet, not living on one powder.
How should I store it after opening?
Tightly closed, somewhere cool and dry, and used within the two to four weeks the pack states. Always use a dry spoon. Do not put the dry powder in the fridge.
