Well Being is the everyday-health shelf: herbal supplements, joint and bone support, heart and blood pressure products, nutritional foods and drinks, pregnancy care and general vitality formulas. It sits between food and medicine, and it is worth being clear-eyed about what that means.

Where Well-Being Products Genuinely Help

• Filling a known gap. Calcium and vitamin D for bone health, omega-3 for heart and joint support, and iron where a test has shown a deficiency — these have real evidence behind them and are worth taking properly.

• Supporting a life stage. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, recovery from illness, and later life all have well-established nutritional needs.

• Making a decent diet easier. A nutritional drink is a sensible thing for someone who cannot eat enough, an older person with a small appetite, or someone recovering from surgery.

Where to Be Careful

• “Herbal” does not mean “cannot harm”. Plants are chemistry. Several common herbal supplements interact with blood thinners, blood pressure medication and diabetes drugs, and a few are hard on the liver at high doses.

• Nothing here treats a diagnosed disease. A joint supplement is not arthritis treatment and a heart supplement is not blood pressure medication. Take them alongside your prescribed treatment, never instead of it.

• Be suspicious of guaranteed results. A genuine product describes what it contains and what it is for. A product promising a cure, an instant effect or “no side effects” is selling a story.

• Tell your doctor what you take. This is the single most useful habit in this whole section.

Genuine Products

Much of this catalogue is imported, and imported shelves are where fakes and repacks appear. Whoever you buy from, these are worth checking:

• The seal. An intact shrink wrap or safety ring is what tells you a product has not been opened.

• The batch number and expiry printed on the pack itself, not on a sticker over it. A sticker covering the original printing is the commonest sign of a repack.

• A price far below everyone else’s is information — sometimes a genuine clearance, often a fake or something close to expiry.

If what arrives does not match its listing, tell us. We would rather take a return than leave a wrong description standing.

Storing It Properly

Bangladesh’s heat and humidity are harder on most products than anything else they will meet.

• Cool, dry and out of direct sunlight — not a sunny windowsill, and not the hottest corner of the bathroom.

• Keep the cap closed properly. Air and moisture do more damage over months than anything else.

• Do not decant into an unmarked container. Once the pack is gone, so are the batch number, the expiry date and the instructions.

• Keep it out of reach of children.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long before I notice anything?

Eight to twelve weeks for most things in this category, and longer for joint and bone products. Anything that claims to work in days is describing a stimulant or a laxative, not a nutritional effect.

Can I take these with my prescription medicine?

Ask your doctor or pharmacist first. This is not a formality — interactions between herbal supplements and prescribed medication are common and some of them are serious.

Are herbal supplements safer than conventional medicine?

They are not automatically safer. They are generally less concentrated and less strictly regulated, which cuts both ways: milder effects, but also less certainty about what is in the bottle and how much.

How do I know the product is genuine?

Check the seal, the batch number and the expiry printed on the pack itself rather than on a sticker over it. Everything we sell is sourced to arrive sealed and within date, and if what you receive does not match the listing we will put it right.

How long does delivery take?
