What is vitamin C?
Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin that is secreted by the body. This means that we do not store it, but have to replenish with what we eat. Vitamin C can be found in most vegetables, berries and above all citrus fruits. However, vitamin C is also heat sensitive. If food is kept hot for a long time or reheated several times, the amount of vitamin C decreases.

Vitamin C helps to reduce tiredness and fatigue, and contributes to normal energy metabolism and the normal function of the immune system. It also increases iron absorption in the body and helps to protect the cells from oxidative stress. Absorbent-C™ also contains soluble dietary fibre in the form of oat bran. Soluble means that it dissolves in water, and they help to form a gel around the food we ingest.
