How This Pad Is Built

Fly publish their construction in detail, which is unusual and worth reading, because every layer does a specific job:

• Non-woven outer and inner layers. These move liquid quickly down into the pad, so the surface against your skin stays comparatively dry and the pad does not cling to the body.
• Airlaid paper — wood pulp combined with fibre — which substantially increases how much the core can absorb for its thickness.
• Graded pulp with SAP (Super Absorbent Polymer), which raises capacity further. SAP traps liquid as a gel, so once absorbed it does not come back out under pressure.
