How to Use

1. Apply after moisturiser as the final skincare step.
2. Use around two finger-lengths for face and neck if you are relying on it as your sunscreen. Applying a thin primer layer gives you far less protection than the SPF number suggests.
3. Let it settle for a few minutes, then apply makeup as usual.
4. Reapply through the day if you are outdoors — a cushion or powder SPF over makeup is the practical way to do that.

The Catch With SPF in Makeup

Worth knowing before you rely on it. SPF ratings are measured at 2mg per square centimetre — roughly two finger-lengths for a face — and almost nobody applies a primer that thickly. If you use a normal primer amount you are getting real protection, but meaningfully less than SPF 50. On a day spent mostly indoors that is fine. On a day outdoors, apply a proper sunscreen first and use this over it.

Patch Test First

Before using a new active on your face, try it on a small area — the inner forearm or just below the jaw — and leave it for 24 hours. Mild tingling on application is common with acids and settles; stinging, burning, redness that spreads, or itching that persists is not, and means the product is not for you.

Introduce one new product at a time. If three go on together and skin reacts, there is no way to tell which one caused it.
