Product Overview
Organic baby noodles from Malaysia, for babies from seven months. Baby noodles are thin, short and made without the salt that ordinary instant noodles carry — which is the entire reason a separate baby version exists.
The seller’s listing is very thin: it gives the age and the origin and nothing else. No pack weight, no ingredient list and no certifying body for the “organic” claim. Rather than fill that in with guesses, here is the honest position — message us before you order and we will weigh and photograph the pack we are actually sending.
Why Baby Noodles Rather Than Ordinary Noodles
Salt is the reason. A packet of ordinary instant noodles carries far more sodium than a baby’s kidneys should handle, and the seasoning sachet is the worst of it. Babies under a year should have almost no added salt at all.
Baby noodles are made unsalted and cut short and thin so they soften quickly and are easy to swallow. Do not add the seasoning from an adult packet, and do not add salt yourself.
Before You Start Solids
Breast milk is the best food for a baby, and for the first six months it is the only food a baby needs. WHO and Bangladesh’s national infant-feeding guidance both recommend exclusive breastfeeding for six months, then breastfeeding alongside solid food up to two years and beyond.
Complementary food is an addition to milk at around six months, not a replacement for it. Starting solids does not mean stopping breastfeeding.
If your baby is under six months, or was born early, or is not gaining weight as expected, talk to a doctor or a health worker before starting any solid food. They can look at your baby; a packet cannot.
This Is Not a Milk Replacement
An infant cereal is a complementary food. It is fed in addition to breast milk or formula, in small amounts, once or twice a day to begin with. Milk stays the main source of nutrition for the whole of the first year.
Filling a baby up on cereal so they take less milk is a common and serious mistake. If your baby is drinking noticeably less milk after starting solids, cut the solids back and speak to a health worker.
Key Features
- For babies from 7 months
- Product of Malaysia
- Thin, short noodles that soften quickly
- No added salt or seasoning
- Pack weight not stated by the seller — ask before ordering
How to Cook Them
- Boil in plain water — no salt, no stock, no seasoning — until completely soft. Cook them longer than you would for an adult.
- Drain and cut them short with clean scissors for a young baby.
- Stir through mashed vegetables, well-cooked minced chicken, or a little of the family’s unsalted curry.
- Cool and check the temperature before serving.
- Serve fresh. Throw away anything left in the bowl.
Introducing a New Food
- Start with one or two teaspoons once a day and build up over a week or two.
- Introduce one new food at a time and wait about three days before adding another. If something disagrees with your baby you then know what it was.
- A baby refusing a new food the first few times is normal, not a verdict. It often takes several tries.
- Watch for a rash, swelling around the mouth, vomiting, diarrhoea or wheezing. Stop the food and get medical help if any of these appear, urgently if there is any difficulty breathing.
- Never leave a baby alone while eating, and always feed sitting upright.
Hygiene Matters More Than the Brand
Most feeding-related illness in small children comes from the bowl, the spoon, the water and the hands — not from the food itself. Clean hands, clean utensils, safe water and food eaten fresh do more for your baby than any ingredient list.
Never feed prepared cereal that has been standing at room temperature for more than two hours, and never reheat a bowl your baby has already eaten from.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much do I get in a pack?
The seller does not state it. Message us and we will confirm the exact pack before you order rather than have you guess.
Is it certified organic?
No certifier is named on the listing, so we are not going to claim one.
Are noodles a choking risk?
Long noodles can be. Cook them until very soft and cut them short for a baby, and always feed sitting upright with someone watching.
My baby is younger than the age on the pack. Can I still start?
Please don’t, and please ask a doctor first. The age on the pack is about how ready a baby’s gut and swallowing are, not about size or appetite. Solids before six months are recommended only where a health worker has advised it for that particular baby.
How should I store it after opening?
Tightly closed, somewhere cool and dry, and used within the two to four weeks the pack states. Always use a dry spoon. Do not put the dry powder in the fridge.
