How to Fit

1. Clean and dry both surfaces thoroughly — adhesive fails on grease, and kitchen surfaces are greasy.
2. Peel and position carefully. Adjusting it after it sticks weakens the bond.
3. Press firmly for thirty seconds.
4. Leave it 24 hours before relying on it. Adhesive needs to cure; a lock tested immediately can pull off.
5. Check it periodically, especially in a warm kitchen where adhesive softens.

Work through the house at a toddler’s eye level. The priorities are anything under the kitchen sink — cleaning products and dishwasher tablets are the commonest cause of child poisoning at home — followed by medicines, knives and sharp utensils, plastic bags, and any drawer heavy enough to tip out onto a child.
