About Hadensa Ointment

Hadensa Ointment is used to treat haemorrhoids (piles), anal fissures, and anal fistula. Hadensa Ointment relieves itching, pain and reduces bleeding, swelling associated with piles and anal fissures. Haemorrhoids, also known as piles, are the inflamed and swollen veins in the rectum and anus that cause discomfort, pain, and bleeding. An anal fissure is a small tear in the mucosa that lines the anus, which causes pain and bleeding during or after a bowel movement.

Hadensa Ointment is a combination of four drugs: Lanolin, Lignocaine, Menthol, and Thymol. Lignocaine blocks the pain signals from the nerves to the brain, thereby decreasing the sensation of pain. Menthol provides a cooling sensation, thus helping relieve pain. Lanolin moisturises the skin and prevents irritation. Thymol works by killing infection-causing micro-organisms. Thereby, Hadensa Ointment provides relief from pain and discomfort due to piles and anal fissures.

You are advised to use Hadensa Ointment for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, Hadensa Ointment may cause common side effects such as a burning sensation and redness at the site of application. Directions for Use

• Follow your doctor’s instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.• Check the label for directions before using Hadensa Ointment and use it as advised by the doctor. Clean and dry the affected area. Take the prescribed amount onto the applicator and apply it directly onto the anal/rectal area.• Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Remove the applicator carefully and remain lying down for a few minutes to allow the medication to absorb.

What if I have taken an overdose of Hadensa Ointment

Avoid exceeding the recommended dose as it might cause an overdose. Consult the doctor if you experience any unusual symptoms.

Empty your bowels whenever your body tells you to.

Avoid pushing too hard while pooping, as it can cause the tearing of tissues.

Include fruits, vegetables and whole wheat grains in your diet.
