Coral Long Lasting Extra Time is the delay condom in the Coral range. The inside of the condom carries a lubricant containing benzocaine, a mild local anaesthetic that dulls sensation a little and can help postpone ejaculation. It is the same mechanism every “extra time” or “climax delay” condom uses, whatever the brand name on the box.

How much difference it makes varies widely between people — for some it is significant, for others barely noticeable. Everything else is the Coral standard: lubricated natural latex, 180mm long, 53mm ±2mm wide, three pieces per pack.

About the Delay Lubricant

Climax delay condoms carry a lubricant containing benzocaine, a mild local anaesthetic that slightly reduces sensation and so can help postpone ejaculation. How much difference it makes varies a great deal from person to person.

• Do not use if you or your partner is allergic or sensitive to benzocaine or other local anaesthetics.
• The numbing effect can transfer to a partner. If either of you finds the sensation unpleasant, switch to a plain condom.
• Stop using and seek advice if you notice a rash, burning, swelling or persistent irritation.
• These are not a treatment for premature ejaculation. Persistent difficulty is worth discussing with a doctor.

How to Use

1. Check the expiry date and that the foil is sealed and undamaged. Open by hand at the notched edge — never with teeth, scissors or a fingernail.
2. Put the condom on before any genital contact, not part-way through.
3. Pinch the teat at the tip to squeeze the air out, then roll the condom all the way down to the base with the other hand.
4. If it will not unroll, it is the wrong way round. Discard it and start with a new one — do not flip it over and reuse it.
5. After ejaculation, hold the condom firmly at the base and withdraw while still erect, so nothing slips.
6. Knot it, wrap it and bin it. Never flush it, and never reuse a condom.

Safety Information

• Use a new condom for every act of intercourse. One condom, one use.
• Never wear two condoms at once, and never pair a male condom with a female condom — the friction makes both more likely to tear.
• Only water-based or silicone-based lubricant. Oil-based products — petroleum jelly, baby oil, body lotion, most massage oils — weaken latex.
• Not suitable for anyone with a latex allergy or sensitivity.
• Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. A wallet or a car glovebox is a bad place to keep one for long.
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack.
• Used correctly and consistently, condoms substantially reduce the risk of pregnancy and of sexually transmitted infections. No method removes that risk entirely.
• If a condom splits or slips, seek advice about emergency contraception and STI testing without waiting.
• Keep out of reach of children.

There is no fixed answer. Benzocaine reduces sensation to a degree that differs from person to person, and the honest position is that some men notice a clear difference and others notice very little.

Will my partner feel the numbing too?

Can I use one every time?
