Medicine covers the over-the-counter and prescription-linked products in this store — creams and ointments, digestive care, first aid, pain relief, antibacterials, vitamins with a therapeutic purpose, and the small medical devices that go with them.

An Important Word Before You Order

This is the one section of the store where we would rather sell you less than more.

• A prescription medicine needs a prescription, and the reason is not paperwork. Dose, duration and interaction with what you are already taking are decisions a doctor makes with information a product page does not have.

• Do not self-prescribe antibiotics. Taking them for a viral illness does nothing, and stopping a course early is one of the main ways drug resistance spreads. Bangladesh has a real and growing problem with this.

• Steroid creams are not general-purpose creams. Strong topical steroids thin the skin with prolonged use and make fungal infections considerably worse. They are for a named condition, for a stated number of days.

• Tell your doctor everything you are taking, including herbal supplements. Interactions are real and some of them matter.

What This Section Is Good For

Used sensibly, it is the household shelf you want to have already stocked rather than to go looking for at eleven at night:

• First aid — antiseptic, dressings, burn and wound care.

• Everyday complaints — indigestion, constipation, mild pain, minor skin infections.

• Devices — thermometers, supports, and the equipment that makes managing a condition at home practical.

Genuine Products

Much of this catalogue is imported, and imported shelves are where fakes and repacks appear. Whoever you buy from, these are worth checking:

• The seal. An intact shrink wrap or safety ring is what tells you a product has not been opened.

• The batch number and expiry printed on the pack itself, not on a sticker over it. A sticker covering the original printing is the commonest sign of a repack.

• A price far below everyone else’s is information — sometimes a genuine clearance, often a fake or something close to expiry.

If what arrives does not match its listing, tell us. We would rather take a return than leave a wrong description standing.

Storing It Properly

Bangladesh’s heat and humidity are harder on most products than anything else they will meet.

• Cool, dry and out of direct sunlight — not a sunny windowsill, and not the hottest corner of the bathroom.

• Keep the cap closed properly. Air and moisture do more damage over months than anything else.

• Do not decant into an unmarked container. Once the pack is gone, so are the batch number, the expiry date and the instructions.

• Keep it out of reach of children.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you need a prescription?

For prescription-only medicines, yes, and we will ask for it. Over-the-counter items do not need one — but if you are unsure which a product is, that is itself a good reason to ask a pharmacist before ordering.

Can I take this alongside my regular medication?

Ask your doctor or pharmacist, always. This applies to vitamins and herbal supplements as much as to medicines — several common herbal products interact with blood thinners, blood pressure medication and diabetes drugs.

What do I do with medicine that has expired?

Do not take it and do not flush it. An expired medicine is not simply weaker — some degrade into something you do not want. Return unused medicines to a pharmacy where you can.

How much shelf life will it have?

We stock to arrive well within date and do not knowingly ship anything close to expiry. If you need a specific minimum for a particular order, ask before placing it and we will check the batch.

How long does delivery take?

Inside Dhaka, usually one to three working days. Outside Dhaka, generally two to five, depending on the courier and your location. We contact you to confirm the order before it is dispatched.
