The Rules That Apply to Every Hot Tool

• Never use an iron or a tong on damp hair. The water inside boils and the hair blisters from within — this is the single biggest cause of heat damage. Only a dryer touches wet hair.

• Always use a heat protectant.

• Lowest effective temperature. Fine, coloured or damaged hair below 180°C; only very coarse hair needs the top of the range.

• One pass, not five. Repeated passes over the same section cause the damage, not the tool.

• Keep it moving, and work in small sections.

• Two or three times a week at most.

What to Look For When Buying

• Adjustable temperature is essential rather than a luxury.

• Ceramic or tourmaline surfaces heat evenly; bare metal has hot spots.

• Separate heat and speed controls on a dryer — high speed at low heat is the useful combination.

• A cool shot button, which sets a style and closes the cuticle.

• Cord length and a swivel joint. The most common regret.

• Voltage. Bangladesh runs 220-240V; a 110-120V import needs a step-down converter and a plug adapter alone will destroy it.

Care That Doubles the Life

• Clean the dryer’s rear filter every few weeks. A blocked filter is why most dryers die — the motor overheats.

• Wipe cooled plates with a damp cloth to remove product residue, which burns on and pulls hair.

• Let everything cool completely before storing, and never wrap the cord tightly around a hot barrel.

• Never use near water or with wet hands, and unplug after use rather than leaving it in the socket.

• Stop using anything with a damaged cord — a frayed cord on a mains appliance is a serious risk.

Why does my straightener pull my hair?

Usually product residue baked onto the plates, or plates that no longer sit flush. Wipe them clean when cold; if it continues, the tool needs replacing.

What if the product is wrong or damaged?

Contact us as soon as the parcel arrives, before the item is used, and keep the packaging. Anything sent in error, damaged in transit or not matching its description is our problem to solve.

How long does delivery take?

Inside Dhaka, usually one to three working days. Outside Dhaka, generally two to five, depending on the courier and your location. We contact you to confirm the order before it is dispatched.
