Check the Voltage Before You Buy

This is the one thing worth knowing before ordering any imported appliance, because getting it wrong destroys the device instantly.

• Bangladesh runs 220-240V at 50Hz.

• Appliances from the USA, Canada and Japan are often 110-120V. A plug adapter changes the shape of the pins, not the voltage — plugging a 110V device into Bangladeshi mains without a step-down converter will burn it out.

• Look for “100-240V” on the label. Most modern chargers, laptops and phone adapters are dual voltage and work anywhere.

Where an item we sell is not 220-240V, the product page says so.

Batteries, Charging and Safety

• Charge fully before first use, and use the cable supplied or a normal 5V charger. A fast-charge brick is not needed for a small device and shortens battery life.

• Do not leave a device on charge permanently. Constant charging is hard on a lithium battery.

• Store at around half charge if you are putting something away for months, rather than flat.

• Never open the body of a rechargeable device. A damaged lithium cell is a fire risk, and the battery is not user-replaceable.

• Stop using anything that gets hot, smells odd, swells or makes a new noise, and do not charge it again.

Use a surge protector where you can — voltage fluctuation does more damage to electronics here than anything else.

How long does delivery take?

Inside Dhaka, usually one to three working days. Outside Dhaka, generally two to five, depending on the courier and your location. We contact you to confirm the order before it is dispatched.
