• Gelatin. Gums, chews, marshmallows and many filled sweets contain it, and it is frequently beef or pork derived. It is rarely mentioned on the front of the pack, so read the ingredient list if this matters to you.

• The allergen line. Nuts, milk, soy, wheat and egg are all common in confectionery and imported packs list them clearly in bold.

• Alcohol in liqueur chocolates and some fillings.

• The date format. American packs print MM/DD/YYYY and British ones DD/MM/YYYY — which is exactly how a fresh product gets mistaken for an expired one.

Storing Sweets in This Climate

• Chocolate above about 24°C softens, and blooms — the pale, dusty surface — after a warm spell. Bloom is safe to eat; only the texture changes. The coolest cupboard, or the fridge in a sealed box.

• Hard candy goes sticky in humidity. Airtight containers, and do not leave a bag open.

• Gums and chews go hard if the pack is left open.

• Keep chocolate away from strong-smelling food. It absorbs odours readily.

Can I order in bulk for an event?

Yes. Message us with the quantity and the date, and we will confirm availability and the batch shelf life before you commit.

How much shelf life will it have?

We stock to arrive well within date and do not knowingly ship anything close to expiry. If you need a specific minimum for a particular order, ask before placing it and we will check the batch.

How long does delivery take?

Inside Dhaka, usually one to three working days. Outside Dhaka, generally two to five, depending on the courier and your location. We contact you to confirm the order before it is dispatched.
