Important — Never Put These Inside the Ear Canal

Cotton buds are for the outer ear and the skin around it only. Pushing one into the ear canal packs wax deeper, and it is a common cause of perforated eardrums in children — the injury usually happens when someone bumps the arm holding the bud.
